Optical Scan Voting

The Rock Island County Clerk's Office has now converted to Optical Scan voting, which is fast becoming the standard for the nation. For information on using the system, see our downloadable "pdf" instructions or view our on-line video demonstration which describes the process. The video is available in several speeds and will require Microsoft "Windows Media".

If you don't have Microsoft "Windows Media" installed on your computer, you can download a free version by clicking on the "Windows Media" icon below. This will open a new window and take you to the Microsoft "Windows Media" download page. Under the "Downloads for Windows Media Player" heading, look for the download that corresponds with your operating system and be sure and review the "read me" notes for the appropriate download. If you're unsure of which version to download, ask your network administrator for assistance.
